Vortex Softball
Weather Policy
Please know that we cannot control the weather and that like any other outdoor event the Vortex Softball Clinics are at its mercy!
Before your arrival on day one of the Vortex Softball clinic, we will have already incurred all of the expenses associated with the clinic including:
- Facility rental fees
- Travel and lodging expenses for our staff and instructors
- Instructor fees
- Fees for printed materials and uniform costs.
Therefore, the Vortex Softball cannot refund any of the clinic registration fees if the event is not completed due to weather.
However, in case of inclement weather, the Vortex Softball will make all reasonable efforts to conduct as much of the originally scheduled clinic activities as possible. We have arranged for back-up indoor facilities at each of our locations and we will use them as needed, even if it means staying late into the night or starting early in the morning.
In case of inclement weather, the Vortex Softball will not be able to reschedule the clinic. It will be impossible, for the college coaches we have hired, to reschedule at a later date as they all have other commitments either for recruiting or instructing at other camps.
In case of inclement weather:
- Decisions concerning the weather will be made by the Vortex Softball, the facilities owner, the clinic host, and/or the umpires at the clinic site.
- If the scheduled activities on day one are not completed, either outdoors or indoors, they will be moved to day two and the games scheduled on day two may be cancelled.
- If the day one activities carry over to day two then, at the sole discretion of the Vortex Softball, the games previously scheduled for day two may be played at the completion of the day one activities either in their entirety or in a shortened format or may be cancelled all together.
The Vortex Softball refund policy, in case of weather-related cancellations is: “there will be no refunds, if the clinic is cancelled in part or in total due to inclement weather.”
In case of a natural disaster, such as a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, etc. we will do our best to reschedule the event but can not guarantee that all of the colleges originally listed will be in attendance. In these cases, the clinic may be cancelled in advance. If it can’t be rescheduled, we will refund your registration fee less any expenses that we have already incurred.
